Please take a few minutes to read our homing policy which we have had to introduce. Due to the number of dishonest people purchasing kittens as pets & then going on to breed from them, we have decided that from April 2006 all pet babies will be neutered prior to leaving us. We have taken these steps to foremostly protect our babies from being potentially used as breeding machines & to protect the breed from the amount of sub standard Bengals that are being produced. You see them advertised as full pedigrees but not registered, they may seem a bit cheaper than a registered kitten but believe me you will not have the assurance that these kittens have been raised properly, many are not vaccinated & leave their mums before they should. They are also not wormed & often not kept in the best of circumstances.  When you purchase a kitten from us or any other reputable breeder you have the peace of mind that the kitten will have been raised properly from parents who meet the breed standard, that they have been wormed etc as appropriate. The kittens have remained with mum until they are fully weaned, been checked by a vet at least twice, inoculated, with full pedigree & REGISTERED on the non-active list with GCCF. Most importantly come with a lifetime of assistance should it ever be required.  Not to mention all the other things such as insurance & goodie bags to help settle babies into their new homes. Many years of hard work & money has gone into progressing the Bengal breed & it is sad that some people who think they can make a fast buck are ruining the breed. Please remember folks YOU ONLY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.!!

Let us also give you a little history of the Bengal breed;- During the 1960's, research into leukemia and other cancer related diseases, it was discovered that the Asian Leopard Cat (ALC) appeared to be immune to such diseases. During this research a black domestic male cat was mated to a female ALC to enable the researchers to study the immune systems. A litter of both solid coloured and spotted kittens were produced from the mating. One of the female spotted kittens was then mated back to the father, this resulted in a litter of all spotted kittens. Thus the beginnings of wonderful Bengal breed. Unfortunately due to the bereavement of Jean Sugden's (founder of the breed) husband, the progression of the breed ceased until the 1970's. A lot of hard work by various breeders over the years has resulted in the Bengal as we know it today. The Bengal is unique in as far as it is the only breed to have its origins from a wild ancestor. In saying that the Bengal is in no shape or form a wild animal, it is just as domesticated as any other breed, although they do have their own unique and distinct behaviour. Bengals will actively seek out their human families for company, as a playmate or for kisses and cuddles. They possess  endless attributes that never ceases to amuse and enthrawl their owners. As well as striving to achieve the perfect "breed standard", we also breed for temperament, ensuring our kittens are handled and socialised almost from birth (with mum's co-operation) ensuring highly socialised little bundles who become well adjusted & balanced adults which are a pleasure to own. Please do contact us for any information or indeed to make an appointment to view either our adults or any of our available kittens.
